First recognized for its health-giving properties in the early 20th century, magnetic field therapy has been perfected by Russian and Canadian scientists and researchers over the last 3 decades in the form of magnetic resonance stimulation. The beneficial properties of cellular resonance influence all tissues of the body by lying on the whole body mat. With the proliferation of computers and other electronic equipment our exposure to harmful electromotive forces (EMF’s) is on the rise. Our ability to repair, recover and deal with pain, stress and degenerative change may be weakened, and our immune systems compromised.

PEMFs Garner Strong Endorsement by Dr. Mehmet Oz

The November 16, 2011 installment of the Dr. Oz Show featured pulsed electromagnetic field therapy as a powerful, potentially life-changing strategy for chronic pain and arthritis.  Dr. Oz reviewed 3 systems including the iMRS® by MediConsult, GmbH in Switzerland, used our Center for Spine, Sport & Physical Medicine since 2006.

Our Systems (for use in our clinic or by individualized prescription for home use):

The iMRS® Systems and the MRS 2000+ designo® Systems:  These systems are advanced, reliable and clinically proven forms of pulsed electromagnetic field therapy with extremely low frequency and intensity — therefore referred to as “Magnetic Resonance Stimulation.”

Rhumart® Systems:   Using higher field intensities while maintaining true Tesla-Schumann resonance frequencies, the Rhumart wave-form is specifically engineered to match the action potential of the human nerve impulse, resulting in profound pain-reduction and anti-inflammatory effects.  Rhumart® systems are rapidly effective when used during a painful episode.  These systems have been made and used in North America for over 20 years.

No PEMF system is designed or intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent  disease or illness. Rather, these systems may have a profoundly positive influence on all 75 trillion cells in the body to operate at a higher level of energy. This whole-body effect promotes rapid relief of pain, repair of injuries, resolution of inflammation, enhanced sleep, higher levels of energy and improved immune system function. Magnetic fields have been used for decades all over the world to improve health and wellness in profound — and sometimes amazing — ways.  Please take time to listen to the real, unscripted stories of people whose lives have been changed by PEMFs!

3 Important tips to follow when buying pulsed electromagnetic field devices:
     1.  Try before you buy.  The most popular PEMF devices for in-home use will set you back $1900-$4000. Like test-driving a car you wouldn’t pay a large sum of money without a trial run.  Without any pressure at all, let your body tell you if the device is working for you.  Give it time (about a month or two in some cases).  Obtain a prescription for specific settings from a qualified health care provider for your use of the device on a trial basis in your home.  This technology is not intended for use in pregnancy, with older pacemakers or in the case of epilepsy or other seizure disorder.
     2.  Avoid slick online salespeople. Keep the old adage, “If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is,” in mind when searching for devices.  Find a supplier who is a licensed health care provider with experience in applying PEMF technologies.  You’re more likely to get a balanced, scientific approach. Some of the slickest sites on the web are run by people with a track record of poor ethics.  They’ll tell you anything to get a sale.  Beware!
     3.   Look for service after the sale. Online marketers are ill equipped to competently answer specific questions relative to PEMFs and your health, and lack training and licensing to do so.  Always ask your doctor! Further, most online marketers cannot provide meaningful service once your purchase has been completed.

PEMF therapy supports the health of those with pain, arthritis, and chronic illness
PEMF and magnetic resonance stimulation therapies are gaining recognition around the world as an effective alternative treatments for many chronic conditions.  It is a good idea to discuss your condition with a health expert to see if this therapy can benefit you and to make sure that you do not have any preexisting conditions that prevent you from using PEMF wellness technologies in your home.  For example, those who have epilepsy, blood clotting disorders, are pregnant, use anticoagulant medication, have some forms of tinnitus (ringing in the ears), or have older model pacemakers should not use the device.

Dr. Joel Carmichael is a recognized expert in PEMF therapy.  He is a sought after lecturer on the topic.  Dr. Carmichael is also a practicing chiropractor and is board-certified in chiropractic sports medicine.  As a leading expert in PEMF therapy and other alternative forms of natural medicine he can help you evaluate your need for and the purchase of a PEMF device. Call our clinic to learn more about appointments, consultations, and individualized wellness prescriptions for pulsed electromagnetic field therapy.
